Jericho Drive

God is inviting you to get a backstage pass to His work! Meet THE BAND: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

This state was entrusted to the people of Minnesota to steward, but it is drowning in murder, corruption, perversion, deception, greed, and lies—a situation that seems impossible. Walls have been erected. Alliances have been made with Satan to eradicate Christ. Churches have been invaded. Marriage, family, and children are reviled. Babies are killed and sacrificed.

These are walls so impossible—they are Jericho walls!

What can we do? Flee? Hide? NO! We will praise, pray, and drive!

“Why drive?” you say, “Silly; what good can this do?” Because the LORD has entrusted America, this beautiful land, to us to steward and govern for His glory and His honor. Look out the window—the blue sky, the green, the golden, the browns, the birds, our very breath.

Introducing: The Jericho Drive

With THE BAND in the lead, we will encircle the Twin Cities with praise and prayer.

  • The Drive (Oct 11 – Oct 16): For six days, we will drive the one-hour 694-494 loop around the city. We will pray for the Holy Spirit to guide, help, speak, reveal, strengthen, bear witness to Christ, renew, lead, convict, unite, and empower.
  • The Celebration (Saturday, Oct 17 at 10:00 AM): On day seven, we will meet at SEFC to worship, praise, and blow the shofar!

This idea comes loosely from Joshua 6, where Joshua is commanded by God to take the land by marching silently around the city of Jericho for six days, and on the seventh day shouting, praising, and blowing the shofar. Today, you have been invited to pray and worship. The walls will come down.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” — Ephesians 6:12

Ways You Can Praise, Worship, and Pray

  • Drive: Grab another believer—two by two they went out—or fill your car!
  • Pray: Use your daily family worship time, encouraged by Pastor Nick, to pray for the drivers. If you can’t drive or do not have an hour, we invite you to sign up for home worship and prayer.
  • Support: Supply a gas card for those who want to participate but have a financial limitation. Bring a local gas card to the church secretary/front desk labeled “Jericho Drive”. (Note: The 72-mile loop requires approximately 3.5 gallons of gas. At current prices, $4.25 x 3.5 gallons = $15).
  • Celebrate: Join us on Day 7, October 17 at 10:00 AM at SEFC to praise HIM and worship as we blow the shofar!

How Did We Get Here?

  • Maybe we are Elimelek. We didn’t think God was keeping His promises, so we’ve walked away from the shelter and presence of the Almighty King, and we have chosen to trust our own wisdom to solve problems. We have gone our own way, and now we find ourselves far from God.
  • Maybe we are Naomi. We are bitter, exhausted, and jaded, so we’ve kept God at arm’s length, blaming the trials of the world on Him. But the truth is God gave us Jesus to free us from sin and be with us in our sufferings, sorrows, joys, defeats, and victories. He has given us the Holy Spirit to encourage, exhort, and convict. He has given Scripture—THIS HOLY BOOK, life’s manual—to give good pasture and teach us how to rest and be bold in the midst of the enemy.
  • Maybe we are Ruth. Just beginning to see and know Jesus. We have heard and seen this God, but are just now turning from darkness to light, from scarcity to Living Bread. And we are hungry for more BREAD!

We invite you to actively partake of the BREAD. We do not lose HOPE! There is Bread in the Land.

Join us however you can as we drive around the city of Minneapolis/St. Paul to surrender to God all that we cannot change and all that grieves our heart. Join us as we pray and praise to stir the HOLY SPIRIT to open eyes, set captives free, break chains, and tear down strongholds.

The Lord is asking you to show up and drive, pray, and/or support The Jericho Drive for HIS GLORY and HIS HONOR. This is only the beginning. He has big plans to heal this land. He is asking you to be a part of HIS plan.
