Adults

We believe that we grow best when we grow together! Discipleship cannot happen solely during a Sunday morning worship service. Therefore, we have many options for adult discipleship. Each of the ministries outlined below is designed to further our vision of building disciples who mature.

“Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Sunday School

Adult Sunday School is a way for adults to grow stronger in God’s Word, encourage one another, and become better equipped to serve and engage the community with the Gospel.

Sunday School meets during the second service at 10:45am.

Small Groups

Small Groups are a foundational element of the discipleship process at SEFC. They meet weekly or biweekly in homes almost any night of the week and consist of 8-12 adults. Bible study, prayer, and fellowship are the main component of these groups. Small groups will generally choose their own curriculum.

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups may be one of the most valuable discipleship tools we offer. Each gender specific group meets once a month for a single 3-hour gathering. At the monthly meeting you will discuss the assigned book, share memorized scripture, pray with and for one another, and review what God has been teaching you in your personal walk with Christ.

Men’s & Women’s Ministry

SEFC has several specific ministry options that are uniquely geared to the spiritual needs of each gender. These events can be found monthly on our calendar and events page or in our bulletin each week. Ultimately, both ministries seek to cultivate the Spiritual growth of SEFC by providing mentoring and accountability relationships to strengthen one another’s walk with Christ.

Youth

The Youth Group furthers our church vision of building disciples by partnering with parents to help teens develop into more devoted and mature followers of Christ, through an intentional focus on teaching and developing gospel centered friednships.

“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable, and perfect.”

Romans 12:2

Wednesday Night

Each week, teens grade 7-12 get together for games, worship, prayer, and teaching. Focused on discipleship, students are challeneged through small groups with adult leaders who mentor and encourage them on their journey to follow Christ. Student leaders get the chance to put knowledge into action by planning activities, leading worship, and mentoring others.

Youth Group meets Wednesday nights @ 6:30pm throughout the school year.

Sunday Mornings

On Sunday mornings, the youth ministry offers Junior and Senior High Sunday School classes. These interactive 45 minute classes dig into God’s Word and challenge both new and mature Christians witht the truth of the Gospel.

Sunday School classes meet Sundays @ 10:30am (during the second service) throughout the school year.

Events & Outreach

Throughout the year we have youth rallies, weekend retreats, local and international mission trips, and evangelism opportunities. These events are designed to get students out of their normal context, live out what they’ve learned, and focus on their walk with God!

Children

We believe that building disciples is best started at a young age. SEFC has many options of Children’s ministry, such as Children’s Sunday School, Awana, Children’s Church, Infant Nursery, Vacation Bible School and special programs for children throughout the year.

“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.”

Psalm 78:4

Wednesday Nights

Our Wednesday night programming is spectacular! Open to Pre-K through 6th grade. Children will be discipled as we walk through the Bible every three years using stories, scripture memorization, games, songs, and crafts. We partner with Awana to equip local volunteers in churches around the world with Biblical evangelism and discipleship solutions so that today’s children may become tomorrow’s Christian leaders.

Awana meets every Wednesday @ 6:30pm-8:00pm.

We start this Fall on September 13. Each student is $35.00 plus any shirts or vests that might need to be ordered ($15). Max per family is $100.00 (not including vests/shirts)
