We take the mandate to grow and mature in Christ very seriously. The truth is, genuine discipleship cannot happen solely through a Sunday worship service. Therefore, we have several options for ministry and service at SEFC. On this page you will find only a brief introduction, more information can be found by visiting us on Sunday morning or contacting us personally though email.

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. – Col. 1:28

The Worship Team leads our multi-generational congregation in heartfelt worship with a combination of contemporary praise music and traditional hymns. Our Worship Director also coordinates special music presentations and quarterly prayer and praise worship events.

The practice of prayer demonstrates our dependence upon God and enables the fullness of his power to be realized in our life and ministry. Prayer is therefore an integral part of each ministry here, as well as a special focus through weekly prayer meetings and quarterly prayer and worship events.

We believe that building disciples is best started at a young age. SEFC has many options of Children’s ministry, such as Children’s Sunday School, Awana, Children’s Church, Infant Nursery, Vacation Bible School and special programs for children throughout the year.

The Youth Group is dedicated to partnering with parents to help teens develop into more devoted and mature disciples of Christ, through an intentional focus on teaching and developing gospel centered friednships. Check out the youth page for upcoming events and some discipleship resources.

SEFC has several specific ministry options that are uniquely geared to the spiritual needs of each gender. These events can be found monthly on our calendar and events page or in our bulletin each week. Ultimately, both ministries seek to cultivate the Spiritual growth of SEFC by providing mentoring and accountability relationships to strengthen one another’s walk with Christ.

The evangelism and outreach team helps to facilitate evangelism and encourage our church to better serve and engage the Saint Croix Valley with the gospel. The evangelism committee helps plan events throughout the year to provide opportunities for our church to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ.

The Missions Committee oversees the very important involvement of our church in the communication of the gospel throughout the world.  Our support for foreign and domestic missionaries is extensive and those missionaries are regularly brought before the congregation to strengthen our vision for the world, encourage prayer, and to provide opportunities to give.  Another important element of our missions emphasis is the role of short-term mission trips.  We have gone to a variety of places abroad and in the U.S., these trips expand our vision for the world and how each of us can be used in God’s greater plan to build His kingdom.

We believe that we grow best when we grow together! Discipleship cannot happen solely during a Sunday morning worship service. Therefore, we have many options for adult discipleship. Small Groups are a foundational element of the discipleship process at our church. These meet weekly or biweekly in homes on almost any night of the week. Small groups consist of 8-12 adults gathering for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. In addition, men’s and women’s weekly Bible studies and mentorship groups run at various times throughout the year, both during the day and in the evening. Adult Sunday School is a way for adults to grow strong in God’s Word, and become better equipped to serve God and engage the world for Christ. Sunday school meets weekly at 9am throughout the school year.
